The company recently announced its expansion in the Southern California area, starting with a new location in Rancho Cucamonga at 7880 Monet Ave Unit 1070 on September 10th, followed by a new location in Marina Del Rey at 4712 1/2 Admiralty Way on September 24th, and with Westlake Village and Pasadena are expected to open this winter, according to a press release. Bacio di Latte is the world’s largest artisanal gelato chain, with over 190 locations across Brazil and soon-to-be eight in Southern California.

“Our journey has been driven by a passion for sharing the authentic taste of Italian gelato with the world. Each new store represents not just a place to enjoy our creations but a new opportunity to connect with more people and spread the joy that gelato brings,” Edoardo Tonolli, Founder of Bacio di Latte, said in a press release. “We look forward to welcoming the vibrant Marina Del Rey, Rancho Cucamonga, Westlake Village, and Pasadena communities into the Bacio di Latte family and continuing to create unforgettable moments, one scoop at a time.”

Bacio di Latte is a gelato experience born from an unwavering commitment to quality and passion for gelato. Over the past 13 years, the brand has blossomed from one humble storefront on Sāo Paulo’s Rua Oscar Friere into the world’s largest artisanal gelato chain. As with the brand’s first Southern California location in the iconic Westfield Century City shopping center, each new location across Los Angeles (and beyond) will offer guests the same true gelateria experience they’ve come to know and love – a well-balanced blend of tradition and modernity through daily in-house production, high-quality ingredients, and unique flavors and ingredient applications.

To celebrate each opening, the brand will introduce an exclusive flavor that will be available to guests for a limited time. For Rancho Cucamonga, a unique blend of passionfruit and mascarpone dubbed “Rancho’s Passionfruit” will be introduced, and for Marina Del Rey, a combination of sweet cream and chocolate hazelnut dubbed “La Marina” will be on offer.

With over 22 regular flavor options, from best-sellers like Giandujotto, Pistacchio, and Cioccolato Belga to crowd favorites like Crema & Biscotti, Nutellina, and Menta & Cioccolato, to rotating seasonal specialties like Strawberry & Cream, Tiramisù di Pistacchio, and Crema Torino, each Bacio di Latte flavor is made in-house daily across each location, using organic milk and organic cream from Clover family farms in Sonoma County, and fresh, locally sourced fruits from family farms across California, and the most responsibly grown and produced organic cane sugar from Paraguay.

For guests interested in experiencing all that Bacio di Latte has on offer, signature “Ciocchino” products featuring cups and waffle cones and bowls coated in Hazelnut spread (with hazelnuts sourced from the Piedmont region of Northern Italy), Pistachios sourced from regions of Southern Italy, and other delightfully surprising flavors are available in addition to Pistacchio-specific products dubbed “Pistacchio Reserve” crepes, coffee, and milkshakes. Guests of Bacio di Latte locations near operating farmer’s markets (currently, Brentwood, Larchmont Village, and soon-to-be Marina Del Rey) can also expect special flavors offered in limited batches on Sundays.

For its interiors, each Bacio di Latte location is designed like a cozy Italian country kitchen with hand-glazed tile, exposed wood beams, and extensive millwork enveloped in a signature white paint reminiscent of the most important ingredient to gelato: milk. Throughout the space, shelves (accessed by a charming rolling library ladder) are filled with milk bottles, latte cups, copper bowls, whisks, and other cooking tools, further reinforcing the brand’s dedication to its craft. To further elevate the guest experience, each location boasts a dedicated playlist for each portion of the day, from Dean Martin, Madeleine Peyroux, and other Jazz variants in the morning, to Nouvelle Vogue and Bossa Nova in the afternoon, to Gotan Project and Tango / Electronica in the evening.
