AYA represents “joie de vivre,” or the art of celebrating, in the city of Angels. Located in Sofitel Los Angeles’s outdoor patio space, AYA is the brainchild of the husband-wife team Igal and Vanessa Benhamou who designed the space with their world travels in mind. With vibrant colors and intricate architectural motifs found across Mediterranean countries in Northern Africa and the Middle East, AYA’s décor includes handmade wooden furniture positioned among lush greenery, fire pits, and aloe-wrapped copper posts. The focal points that tie the space together are the handcrafted wooden ceiling and the living wall that sits behind the bar, making guests feel as though they themselves have traveled beyond Los Angeles.

AYA’s menu honors the vibrant, complex, and rich culinary heritage of the Mediterranean. Created by Israeli chef Jonas Bismuth and realized by Sofitel Los Angeles’s Executive Chef Fernando Bedolla and Chef Mimi Diaz, AYA’s menu offers a selection of Mediterranean-Israeli dishes that are meant to be shared and are designed to awaken guests’ senses using seasonal ingredients. Led by artisan alchemist TJ Fink, AYA’s bar program features handcrafted cocktails, top shelf spirits, and a range of wine and Champagne options.

AYA is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., and does not accept walk-ins. To make a reservation, please visit https://ayalosangeles.com .
