The new location will be situated in between a Verizon and Starbucks in a 1,307 square-foot space. The new addition to the Sand Canyon Plaza makes the area a hub for sweet tooths, having Yum Yum Donuts and Coco’s Bakery in the same vicinity. There is no official opening date for the new Baskin Robbins.

“Over 70 years ago, Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins had the crazy idea of offering 31 flavors of ice cream when everyone else was still selling vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry,” according to their website. “Burt and Irv were absolutely nuts about ice cream (Irv even had a swimming pool shaped like an ice cream cone). Their passion was contagious, and we like to think our 1400+ flavors have made the world a more flavorful place since we opened for business in 1945.”

Despite having over 2,400 locations across the United States, all stores are locally owned and operated. The new store will offer the same original flavors as the other locations and limited-time specials, such as last month’s flavor of the month, Hidden Treasure, with Belgium chocolate ice cream. There are three other Baskin Robbins in Santa Clarita and dozens more in Los Angeles County.
