On Wednesday, Sushi Tama posted on Facebook that they are now open in the Robertson Plaza development, at 116 N Robertson Boulevard. This news is also confirmed by an Instagram post from the business’ parent company, San Diego-based Shōwa Hospitality.
Menu items include rice bowl dishes, called donburi, and a variety of styles of sushi: sashimi, nigiri, temaki, and maki. The location is near Blue Bottle Coffee and The Henry.
Previous ventures by Shōwa Hospitality include Himitsu in La Jolla, California, and Torien in New York, New York, as well as several restaurants in Mexico City, such as Sushi Kyo, Rokai, and Hiyoko. The hospitality group has also founded Mexican concepts like The Taco Stand, which has locations in North Park, Orange County, La Jolla, Las Vegas, and Miami, Florida.
