The company’s second location will move into the former home of Cuscatleca Bakery later this year. Manager Mike Lazer tells What Now Los Angeles the company just received permit approval from the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety to move forward with plans and anticipate a soft opening in October 2022. Co-owners Ben Libay and Ryan Jayne currently have two Washington locations, one in Lake Stevens and a delivery-only site in North Seattle.

When this new Echo Park location opens, customers can expect some of the best house-made biscuits and biscuit dishes. Biscuit & Bean, voted the #1 breakfast sandwich in Washington twice in a row, also proudly serves coffee from Fulcrum Roasters, one of Seattle’s #best coffee roasters. This will be the only place in Los Angeles County to get their hands on Fulcrum coffee. The new Los Angeles location proves the company is still growing, despite the company closing its Ballard site earlier this year.

“Thank you, Ballard, for the last eight years! It has been an honor to serve this amazing community,” Libay and Jayne said at the time of the closure. “We couldn’t have done it without our amazing team, past and present! We will miss seeing all your lovely faces every day but are looking forward to a very bright future. Again, stay tuned for how you continue to get our amazing food in the near future!”
