The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Pieology Pizzeria in the Porter Ranch Town Center, according to the company’s social media. The new Claudine Kitchen & Bakeshop will open in Spring 2025, offering made-from-scratch breakfast, lunch, brunch & fresh baked goods. This is a massive achievement for co-owners Anthony Jacquet and Lea Newton, who serve as the chef and pastry chef, respectively. The new Claudine Kitchen & Bakeshop will share a building with Verizon.

Chef Anthony and Chef Lea created the concept because they wanted to share their passion for cooking with the community where they grew up. The name “Claudine” is a tribute to Anthony’s sister, who lost her battle with cancer and inspired him to pursue his dream of opening a restaurant. Anthony joined forces with his long-time family friend, Chef Lea, to combine her baking expertise with his culinary skills. Together, they aim to redefine the culinary landscape of the San Fernando Valley.

“Claudine is an All Day Brunch Cafe dedicated to serving food with a story using high-quality, wholesome ingredients sourced from local farms and using the best quality, humane, and naturally raised meats, seafood, and poultry,” according to the company’s website. “Our goal is to satisfy our guests with the simple pleasure of a great meal. We focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients to make heartfelt, delicious sweets and flavorful dishes that Anthony and Lea grew up eating here in Los Angeles. We do this through developing a culture in our restaurants that is based on our core values and supported by team members who have a desire to deliver on that commitment.”
