After keeping quiet for months, Doughbrik’s Pizza looks like it’s getting closer to opening its first brick-and-mortar in West Hollywood.
The newest pizza restaurant is the brainchild of YouTuber David Dobrik and longtime best friend Ilya Fedorovich, who grew up together in the suburbs of Chicago. For months the two have kept quiet about any updates, saying mid-2022, they hope to open the new eatery in August or September of this year. Now, the company is searching for staff, including an assistant general manager, suggesting the new Doughbrik’s Pizza is opening soon. A company representative could not provide What Now LA with an opening date.
Although the exact opening date is unknown, what is known is this restaurant is expected to showcase the owner’s passion for food and fun. Customers can expect an original pan pizza and Chicago Tavern pies, something the two ate a lot during their childhood. The new restaurant on Sunset Boulevard will feature handcrafted recipes, a unique atmosphere that matches the owner’s distinctive personalities, and a few exciting surprises, according to a circulating job posting from the company.
This has been a long time coming, with fans noticing a sudden trademark filing back in 2020. Then, in July 2021, Dobrik officially announced he is opening a new pizza restaurant and jokingly called it Doughbrik’s. Plans were delayed after navigating through the pandemic and his career as a public figure/ social media influencer. Earlier this year, Dobrik was asked when he hopes to open the restaurant, and he gave the public a glimmer of hope.
“It takes a lot,” Dobrik told Fame News in an exclusive interview earlier this year. “August/September. I’m not pushing it back, I swear to God. That’s what we originally planned.”
