“Topanga Social is a curated collection of 25 specialty food and drink venues, an indoor/outdoor cocktail garden, and the first-ever outposts of LA’s hottest pop-ups,” according to Business Wire.

As for Fat Sal’s, the deli’s maiden operation opened in 2010 in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles near UCLA. The menu offers a hefty list of “Fat Sandwiches,” like the pseudonymous sando that comes piled high with thinly sliced ribeye steak, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, fries, brown gravy, and mayo on a garlic hero.

Fat Sal’s also offers Fat Fries — a mound of crispy potato strips topped with things like buffalo chicken & cheese and Philly cheesesteak fixings — “Fat Sides,” signature burgers, standard burgers, signature heroes, and even salads & wraps (because, according to the company website, they don’t judge).

Topanga Social is predicting a spring debut, but many of its vendors have told What Now Los Angeles that opening dates are dependent upon a number of unpredictable factors.
