In a partnership with the Tony Yanow-founded Artisanal Brewing Collective Pubs, Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. will acquire Rancho Park’s The Stalking Horse Brewery at 10543 W. Pico Boulevard, Westwood’s Broxton Brewery at 1099 Westwood Boulevard, and the now closed Bluebird Brasserie at 13730 Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. plans to acquire these properties over the next several months, according to Eater LA, with The Stalking Horse up first, followed by Broxton and Bluebird Brasserie.

Each new brewpub will highlight a particular aspect of Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. For example, the newly owned The Stalking Horse will become the primary outlet for the company’s Agua Santa Mexican-style lager, with plenty of food options. When Bluebird Brasserie reopens, it will become a hub for the company’s lagers as a German-influenced gastropub. All three locations will eventually become their own Figueroa Mountain locations while keeping the same designs and setups in place. Thankfully, no staff will be laid off due to this acquisition.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. has also acquired Mohawk Bend in Echo Park, but the company will not make any dramatic changes soon. Despite the loss, ABC Group still maintains control of Brennan’s on the Westside and Downtown’s Library Bar. Tony Yanow himself will continue to own and operate Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank. This is an incredible opportunity for Figueroa Mountain Brewing founders Jim and Jamie Dietenhofer, who started the company in 2010 out of the Santa Ynez Valley area.
