The full-service restaurant will move into the former home of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, according to Toddrickallen. Representatives from the company could not share when the restaurant is expected to open. Fogo De Chão joins several other upscale restaurants in the area, including Fleming’s and Eddie V’s. The restaurant has two other locations in Los Angeles: Beverly Hills and Downtown. This will become the 63rd location overall, with locations across the world.

Fogo De Chão was founded in 1979 by brothers Arri and Jair Coser. The duo opened their first location in the countryside of Porto Alegre in 1979, followed by a second restaurant in São Paulo. The Cosers opened the first U.S. location in Addison, Texas, in 1997. Since then, the company has expanded worldwide with branches in Brazil, Mexico, and the Middle East. The company continues to branch out throughout the world.

The restaurant offers fire-roasted high-quality meats, such as picanha, fraldinha, and Cordeiro. Fogo De Chão also provides a selection of desserts and wines. On top of the Brazillian-inspired dining, the restaurant also offers catering, including holiday catering with everything one would need for a gathering.

“The culinary team has continued the tradition of developing new menu creations rooted in the Brazilian tradition that push forward the Brazilian churrasco experience,” according to their website. “In 2013, new seafood dishes were introduced. Later that year, the Bar Fogo concept emerged within Fogo restaurants, introducing guests to new Brazilian-inspired small plates, award-winning wines, and cocktails.
