The new Italian concept is expected to open later this summer, replacing Potato Chips Deli Sandwiches. Forno Banci, owned by Piadina Original Marina LLC, will join several other new restaurants coming to the shopping center, including dan modern Chinese, Fire Wings, and Jinya Ramen Bar. CenterCal Properties also recently announced that 2nd & PCH will be relocating its Compass Real Estate site to a second-floor space, and adding a new dog food retailer called Woofpak Pet Kitchen that prepares farm-to-bowl meals.

When the new restaurant opens, customers can expect various Italian staples such as individual slices of pizza and focacce. On top of the delicious meals, the restaurant will also feature a variety of baked goods made fresh daily. 2nd & PCH should be a perfect spot for Forno Banci’s debut, considering the only other Italian restaurant in the area is its sister restaurant, The Italian Homemade Company

“We started with the simple idea of bringing the Forno (bakery) to you, Pizza, Focacce and baked goods, where [it] is a tradition in Italy to buy a quick bite, before school or work,” according to the company’s website. “[Being a] staple of the Italian cuisine, we are using the best flour and other simple ingredients (yeast, water, and salt).”
