If anyone still thinks LA isn’t a pizza destination, then the new Full Proof Pizza in Beverly Hills will hopefully put the myth to bed.
Down to the name, Alexander Phaneuf’s team is all about the dough. We’re talking naturally fermented (think sourdough) shareable 18 inch New York-style pizzas with crispy, brown speckled crust and top-notch creative toppings.
It should come as no surprise that there are some experienced bakers behind the project. Full Proof is a spin off the Lodge Bread Company, one of the city’s go to spots for loaves and pastries of all styles.
While we are still waiting on a confirmed address for Full Proof, expect it to be in a prime West Side location. And if you can’t wait to try these delicious pizzas, they pies under the Full Proof name already, part time, out of the Culver City Lodge Bread. Expect an expanded menu at the new location, with classics like cheese and spicy sausage as well as more invite pies too. I know I’ll be going for the potato and leek with white cheddar and Calabrian chili.
