Greenspot will move into the former home of traditional American restaurant Greenbelt, which closed earlier this year. It is unknown when the new restaurant will open or exactly what kind of food will be served. What is known is that this will be a perfect eating option for those visiting the Hermosa Beach Pier. Also, a recent liquor license suggests the business will be serving alcohol at some point. Greenspot is the latest project from owner Sasan Mirfakhraei, who also owns Cafe Bonaparte in Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach.

The new restaurant will move onto the always busy Pier Avenue, sitting in between Juiced and Treasure Chest souvenir store. Based on the name and the typical eateries found in the area, it’s likely Greenspot will focus on healthier food options that Los Angeles beachgoers tend to like. Whether or not this restaurant focuses on healthy foods, it will have tough competition from other nearby eateries, such as Playa Hermosa Fish & Oyster Co., Watermans, Silvio’s Brazilian BBQ, and Tower 12.

What Now Los Angeles made multiple attempts to reach Mirfakhraei to learn more about this restaurant. The business owner first opened his Parisian-style cafe in Hermosa Beach over a decade ago. He is planning to open the second location in the next few weeks. The new restaurant will sit just a few blocks away from the original Cafe Bonaparte.
