Led by Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke, the development team is currently under construction on the NFL Building, which will be a 380,000-square-foot office building serving as the National Football League‘s new West Coast headquarters, and is also underway on 320,000 square feet of retail space and 314 residential units.

Development plans call for up to 5 million square feet of creative office space, a retail district of up to 890,000 square feet, a 6,000-square-feet performance venue, a 300-room hotel, and up to 2,500 units.

The NFL Building is scheduled to open later this year, developers said this week. The NFL has signed on to occupy about 215,000 square feet, with an additional 165,000 square feet from floors five through seven still available for lease.

The league has also agreed to lease a custom-built studio and studio support space totaling 74,922 square feet, along with a demo field for media purposes.

Led by architecture and design firm Gensler, designs are also underway for an additional 500,000 square feet of office space meant to address the market demands of media, tech, and entertainment companies.

The retail space under construction is expected to open in the spring of 2022. The lineup of tenants will range from local occupiers like Residency Art Gallery to international companies like luxury cinema Cinépolis.

The project will also eventually include a 20,000-square-foot international culinary marketplace.

Hollywood Park’s first 314 residential units are scheduled to be completed next year. Residents of the rental units will have access to amenities like remote-work spaces, outdoor dining areas, sky decks, a pool, screening rooms, fitness studios, and pet spas.

Green spaces for the community’s residents and guests will include 25 acres of tree-lined public parks and plazas. Plans also call for a 6-acre artificial lake.

Home to the Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, the stadium itself is scheduled to host Super Bowl LVI in 2022, the College Football National Championship in 2023, and the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.

West Coast real estate investment and development company Wilson Meany is the development manager for Hollywood Park.

Other architects involved in the project include executive architect Architects Orange and retail design architect BCV Architecture + Interiors.
