Hotel Lucile, housed in the former Pilgrim Church in Silver Lake, is finally nearing completion. A post on the Casetta Group’s Instagram reads, “We can’t wait to welcome you later this year,” and The Eastsider reports that the developer aims to hold a soft opening by the end of this year and a grand opening in early 2025.

The Casetta Group took over the long-awaited project back in 2020 after the previous owner, Dana Hollister, filed for bankruptcy. Casetta plans to convert the former religious sanctuary into a 25-room hotel with a restaurant, cocktail lounge, rooftop lounge, and a pool with cabanas.
The hotel will retain much of the church’s original features, including its stained glass windows, woodwork, and the cross that sits atop the building.
Casetta operates several small boutique hotels throughout California and New Mexico, including Casa Cody in Palm Springs, The Pearl Hotel in San Diego, Hotel Marina Riviera in Big Bear, The Surfrider in Malibu, and Hotel Willa in Taos. The group also offers the Casetta Club membership program for $500 per year which grants members access to exclusive perks at Casetta hotels and restaurants.
