Kim Prince, who previously ran a Chinatown pop-up of the restaurant, along with partner Greg Dulan of Dulan’s Soul Food and Catering (both pictured above), will hold an official grand opening for Hotville on Tuesday, December 17.
The restaurant is technically already slinging its Nashville-style hot chicken having had a soft debut December 6.
Hotville replaces Michelle’s Country Diner, at 4070 Marlton Avenue, bringing the heat with flavors including Cali Mild, Music City Medium, Nashville Hot, and a yet-to-be-named off-the-walls-hot option.
The Shaw, a fried chicken sandwich named in honor of the Crenshaw community, will be added to the menu alongside fried fish and various Kool-Aid flavors on rotation.
Prince is hot chicken royalty by relation to James Thornton Prince, founder of Hot Chicken Shack Nashville circa 1945.
The restauranteur is the first in her lineage to serve Nashville hot chicken outside of Tennessee.
