Ike’s Love & Sandwiches To Take Over The Deli Counter Spot in Carson

Since Ike’s Love & Sandwiches’ first opening in 2007, it has built up fanfare in the Bay Area. Since then, its made its way to SoCal, where it is opening up yet another location where The Deli Counter used to sit at 20810 Avalon Blvd in Carson. What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) confirmed with the owner and founder Ike Shehadeh over the phone of the opening. 

Its menu is vast and the key is variety, with over 500 different kinds of sandwiches on different types of bread like Dutch, French, sourdough, whole wheat, or gluten-free and with Shehadeh’s own “secret sauce” baked right into it. The “cult-like” popularity of Ike’s Love & Sandwiches sent it across the state and seven restaurants have opened in the area so far, with an eighth on the way. 

Furthermore, Ike’s Love & Sandwiches got together with Fransmart — a franchise development company — last year for a national expansion project that has already taken the brand from California to Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. “I feel truly humbled by the massive love and support Ike’s has received over the past 12 years, and now I’m excited to bring the brand into its next level of growth with the help of Fransmart,” Shehadeh said in a press release at the time. “I’m extremely pleased to partner with such a reputable company to help deliver the Ike’s experience to customers across the country.”

Ike’s Love & Sandwiches will occupy a 1,151 square-foot space that has occupied both The Deli Counter and Quiznos in the Torrance submarket. While housing multiple delicatessens in the past, this property will undergo remodeling with a move-in date of November 22, 2020.
