The restaurant, which currently only has a location in Milano, will soon open its second location in the former home of Puran’s Restaurant. This will be the first time the Luca Guelfi Company expands beyond Milano or Poltu Quatu. Other concepts from the restaurant group include Canteen, CanteenClub, Saigon, and Volenose Bene. When Dal Milanese opens up later this year, likely in September 2022, the restaurant will offer flavors and tastes typical of the Milanese tradition.

When the company is finally ready to debut in the United States, guests can expect a simple menu that focuses on Italian classics. Besides wines and desserts, the restaurant’s menu is divided into appetizers, rice & pasta, and main courses. The cocktail bar offers the historical and classic Milanese cocktails to drink from the 1980s.

“Here the idea of a trattoria is reinvented: an informal place with traditional cuisine from home origins that meets a well-kept international setting,” according to the restaurant’s website. “Neon and historic signs, original photos, paintings, advertising prints, Venini lamps and more, exposed bricks, wooden floors from the early 1900s, and herringbone parquet flooring are just some of the elements, both design and furnishings and architectural restoration, which, as always in his creations, manage to give a touch of inspiration and originality while maintaining the typical personality that distinguishes the premises signed by Luca Guelfi.”
