Santa Monica may soon see another Jinky’s in town, but more focused on coffee and prepared snacks than the café’s usual full menu.

Jinky’s Coffee is slated for the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and 2nd Street, previously occupied by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, at 200 Santa Monica Blvd.

The location is just around the corner from a Jinky’s Café at 1447 2nd St.

Jinky’s Café will stay in its current space and continue the full menu, Francisco Barrera, who works at the 2nd Street location, said in a phone interview with What Now Los Angeles on Monday.

The new location will focus on coffee, snacks, and packaged sandwiches and food, he added, not a dine-in breakfast like the café.

Construction could take a while, so Barrera was unsure of an opening timeline.

Owners of the café could not be reached for comment by the time of publication.

Jinky’s has seven other locations.

The Jinky’s restaurant brand provides a combination of authenticity, quality, taste, and experience, according to the café’s website.

“We proudly offer a high-quality, flavorful, diverse menu with alternatives across a variety of cuisine styles,” the website reads.

Jinky’s’ long-standing Los Angeles presence has provided a loyal base of high-profile celebrities and other social influencers, according to the website.

“Our cafe’s motto is that the customer should always be happy and quality can never be compromised with,” it reads.
