Owner Adnan Rahman tells What Now Los Angeles he expects to open the new location in May 2022. The new Kickin’ Fish & Chicken will soon move into the former home of Blue Diamond Body and Skin Care near LAX. This will be the first time the company moves into California, with 27 locations in Detroit under the name Captain Jays Fish & Chicken. This is a massive opportunity for Rahman, not only for it being the company’s California debut but also because of the lack of chicken options in the area.

It will be no surprise this becomes the new hot spot for chicken-eating lovers. Kickin’ Fish & Chicken opened in 2017 and has since served seafood and naturally raised, free-range, organic chicken. All of their mouth-watering chicken is a must-try, but their signature item is the southern fried chicken with lemon pepper. As for seafood, customers can expect to find cajun salmon, grilled shrimp, a cajun ahi tuna salad, and an Asian sesame shrimp salad.

The company’s mission is to provide customers with healthy options by frying their chicken and seafood in soy-based oil instead of deep-frying oil. For added peace of mind, their non-GMO chickens are locally farmed and humanely slaughtered. Whether you order grilled or fried meals, you can expect a plateful of heavenly, meaty goodness.
