LA Syndicate Coffee Hopes to Focus on The Local When It Opens November In DTLA

Look for pour-over, classic drip, espresso, Nitro cold brew, charcoal lemonade, and turmeric-flavored lemonades out of the mini 300-square-foot space this fall.

A new coffee shop is coming this fall to DTLA’s Pacific Electric Lofts, at 616 S. Main Street. Co-Owned by Sonny Valenzuela and Adam Cleland, the business, called LA Syndicate Coffee, will be a pour-over concept with classic drip and espresso included as well as Nitro cold brew, charcoal lemonade, and turmeric-flavored lemonades. There will also be gluten-free and vegan pastries offered.

Valenzuela told What Now Los Angeles that the opening is expected by early- to mid-November. The business will focus on local vendors, coffee roasters, and pastry chefs. “We want to give locals something to look forward to,” he said. “We want to be a beacon of light in the city.”

The location is approximately 300 square feet, dating back to around 1905, according to Valenzuela. It has previously served as a jewelry store, barbershop, and shoe shop.

“I’ve always been attracted to this spot,” said Valenzuela, who said it has an “Art Deco feel to it” with a patio included.

Valenzuela is the owner of the clothing line, LOADED, and was previously the assistant director at Dolce & Gabbana in Beverly Hills. Cleland was the former owner of Dallas, Texas nightclub, Winston’s Supperclub.
