Since its launch in the summer of 2020, the Milk Room in Woodland Hills has become a destination for true vintage, luxury streetwear, and sneakers. The shop has flourished into a community hub bustling with fashion shows, concerts, and pop-ups. Above all, it has become a home for local artists thanks to Owner Greg Monterrosa’s dedication to promoting the work of up-and-coming independent creatives.

Monterrosa, the newest board member for the Museum of Ventura County, is bringing the communal love to Ventura next. The second Milk Room will settle into 365 E Main Street, just blocks from the coast. Monterrosa told What Now Los Angeles that the shop will have a minimalist aesthetic that accentuates the products from designer and independent brands. The walls will be decked out with a prodigious shoe rack and artwork from local artists.

The Milk Room has an ever-evolving, true vintage collection of sought-after pieces including rap shirts, 90s concert tees, and band tees from the 70s and 80s. Its extensive collection of designer brands includes Supreme, Yeezy, Nike, Jordan, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, and Warren Lotas. The shop has impressive luxury streetwear and sneaker sections and a locals only rack that promotes independent designers. The Milk Room provides a level playing field with Supreme Hoodies and cycling garments designed by an eighteen-year-old artist on the same shelf.

Monterrosa told What Now Los Angeles that he loves “catching people on the way up.” Promoting local artists at the Milk Room also helps them broaden their network by making connections with models, photographers, and other designers. One interaction with the Los Angeles native reveals a glimpse of his generous and passionate spirit. With a background in tech and start-ups, Monterrosa is happy to provide insight into the industry for up-and-coming artists.

The Milk Room is looking for the “independent fashion designer cutting and sewing on Instagram.” Monterrosa welcomes artists to reach out to the Milk Room about cosigning their work.

The Milk Room in Ventura will open its doors on July 1st and be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
