The restaurant first opened last year near Harvard Heights as a ghost kitchen under owner Robert Grigoryan. He tells What Now Los Angeles he hopes to open the Burbank location by Winter 2021, aiming for December or January. Since this will be more of a sit-down restaurant, Grigoryan says customers can expect a lot more face-to-face interactions. He says the newest Never Caged will be more fun, more hip, and more vegan.

Never Caged creates delicious vegan comfort food that would make anyone’s stomach grumble. The restaurant specializes in burgers, tacos, and burritos made with true Nashville hot chicken. Many of their menu items include mac n’ cheese to give that backyard barbeque feel. To tie everything together, the restaurant serves homemade coleslaw, pickles, and secret sauce with their entrees. Since their newest location won’t rely on food delivery services, the restaurant hopes to eventually serve beer and wine at this location.

The newest location will sit next to a newly managed 76 gas station, replacing a sandwich shop called Old Victory. The restaurant will still serve from their ghost kitchen, located at 1842 W Washington Blvd., even after the new location opens. Customers can expect their popularity to continue to rise with this new location and with the help of their mouth-watering Instagram.
