While the exact opening dates of these new eateries are unknown, owner Erika De La Teja hopes to open both locations around December or January 2023. The businesswoman is also opening a new brunch spot with a juice bar called Con Huevos around the same time. Teja plans to open the micro breakfast chain in Montebello, Corona, Long Beach, and Buena Park. Both businesses are likely to keep growing if the first batch of restaurants proves successful. Teja hopes to achieve this through delicious smoothies and fresh coffee.

Despite having multiple concepts in the process, Teja has more than enough experience with opening restaurants. The Los Angeles native helped launch Mr. Tempo’s Mar Chingon and is also in the process of opening Flipping Byrds and Mas Chingon Tacos, both debuting in South Gate. Teja is currently waiting on liquor license transfers and the finalization of lease agreements before she can open any of these restaurants. Once all is said and done, Teja will own at least eight restaurants throughout Southern California.

Few details regarding the menu for Wellness Bar have been shared. Teja tells What Now Los Angeles the juice bar attached to Con Huevos will have items like healthy green juice and protein shakes, so customers can expect a variety of smoothies, shakes, teas, coffee, and other drinks. It’s also very likely the new business will have some snacks and small bite options to complement the drinks.
