In 2013, Garcia opened the now-closed restaurant Manzanilla in New York. Eight years later, the Spain-centric chef debuted Casa Dani in the same state, focusing on “traditional preparations of Andalusian seafood, croquetas, and various stylings of jamón Ibérico.”

Now, Garcia will bring his creativity to the former Rocksugar space, a prime Westside retail/restaurant location bustling with curious customers perfect for Garcia’s innovative creations.

The building will be split down the middle, sharing capacity with a Katsuya. Both establishments will be overseen by Disruptive Restaurant Group — a nightlife and food and beverage subsidiary of SBE Entertainment Group.

SBE CEO Sam Nazarian told What Now Los Angeles he won’t be commenting on the concept until the new year.
