Plans have been filed to convert office space into the restaurant with to-go retail.

Parisian bistro Zinqué is widespread across SoCal with locations in Venice, West Hollywood, Newport Beach, DTLA, and San Diego, and if all goes according to plan, the restaurant will open a second Venice outpost, specifically at 1430 Lincoln Boulevard.

It is currently unclear if this is a planned relocation, but What Now Los Angeles has reached out to Emmanuel Dossetti, CEO of Zinqué, for comment and will update our coverage accordingly. Zinqué’s existing Venice outpost is only about a mile away, at 600 Venice Blvd., and first opened in 2017.

The location on Lincoln Boulevard will feature a to-go retail shop, titled à côté, meaning “next door,” that will sell alcohol as well as books, flowers, and candles. The concept is designed around a long “zinc” counter/bar where patrons can enjoy their coffee and wine or fresh-baked European pastries and sandwiches while enjoying free Wi-Fi.

According to documents filed with the City of Los Angeles Department of City Planning, the owner hopes to convert an office space into a coffee and wine bar, spanning 6,120 square feet with a 640-square-foot patio. There will be 150 seats, both inside and out. The owner also filed a permit for on- and off-site sales and consumption of alcoholic beverages.

The landscaping plans feature a 160-square-foot planter curb to bring greenery to a previously unused area and provide a buffer zone between the patio and traffic.
