Signage this week went up at the space, at 842 S. Broadway, covering the 1,345-square-foot suite’s windows from floor to ceiling in graphics painted the same color pink as the retailer’s highly-Instagramable “Pink Wall” on Melrose.

DTLA artist and resident Caroline Geys captured the progress and moment of completion, shown in the above picture, which Geys generously shared with What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) Wednesday.

Situated adjacent to the historic Orpheum Theatre, Paul Smith sits in space most recently occupied by Optometric Eye Institute.

An opening in spring 2020 is likely, “around April time if all goes to plan,” a rep for the brand on Wednesday told WNLA.

At one point that space was going to be home to A.L.C. per an announcement in mid-2017, but those plans fell through, making way for Paul Smith.

The retailer has ten boutiques in the United States, seven of which are in NYC, and one existing Los Angeles outpost, at 8221 Melrose Ave.
