Pizzicoto Brentwood Quietly Closed Its Doors For Good Last Week

Owners of the Italian eatery cite the ongoing pandemic as the deciding factor in permanently shuttering

Charming old-school Italian neighborhood eatery Pizzicoto is no longer serving in Brentwood, at 11758 San Vicente Blvd. The restaurant quietly closed its doors last week, according to a voicemail on Pizzicoto’s answering machine. “Pizzicoto has closed down its business due to the COVID-19,” the recording states. “We would like to thank you all, our beloved customers, for your loyal support over the years. You will be greatly missed.”

Pizzicoto’s website has since been taken down and the restaurant has been marked as “Permanently Closed” on Google. Eater LA on Tuesday also noted the closure in its AM Intel column. Nearby, Simply Salads also closed its doors citing a similar situation.

Pizzicotto has been a staple in Brentwood as a casual weeknight dinner spot with authentic old-school Italian eats, reasonably priced — pasta, pizza, and Italian wine. Pizzicotto’s quaint interior felt like a European market with walls lined with pasta packages and wine bottles.
