Ramen Nagi in 2018 first expanded from Japan to the west coast with outposts in Palo Alto and Santa Clara and is now coming soon to the Westfield Century City mall, according to signage at the Bloomingdales-adjacent space.

Ramen Nagi’s suite sits directly next to Cotton On Kids in a corner space on the shopping center’s second-level and is a stone’s throw from the soon-to-open Sugar Factory.

Nagi, which in Japanese means “a calmness before the waves,” offers customizable ramens where customers pick a soup base, flavor, noodle-style, and toppings.

The eatery known for its colorful broths—like the black squid ink and spicy red—is opening in summer 2020, according to the signage.

“Our Ramen Master Chef Satoshi Ikuta has dedicated himself to bringing a new wave of ramen to the world through every delicious and memorable bowl,” according to the restaurant’s website.

“This is a place where ramen creativity lives and breathes! “

Neither Ramen Nagi nor Westfield have yet to list the restaurant on its websites.
