The company, led by Keba Konte, was recently announced as an incoming tenant for Hollywood Park, Inglewood’s mixed-use mega-development, according to the Los Angeles Business Journal. It’s unclear exactly when Red Bay Coffee will open this location, but it is one of many new tenants announced for the development, including Martin’s Cocina y Cantina, The Meeting Spot, Phenix Salon Suites, Smize Ice Cream, Social Pies, and Verizon. Most tenants are expected to open early next year.

When the new Red Bay Coffee cafe opens, customers can expect various coffee options and coffee-related products. This will be an excellent spot for the company, considering how much foot traffic will come through the area once everything is completed and open. On top of the handful of restaurants and retailers coming to Hollywood Park, the development is also expected to host CineVita, an immersive music and film experience by live-event coordinator For The Record. The event will run from December to April, featuring a 15,000-square-foot Belgian-built Spiegeltent, filled with 3,000 hand-carved mirrors, windows, and detailed wood carvings on booth seats, presenting live entertainment. With so much to do, this development desperately needs a reliable coffee spot, and Red Bay Coffee is ready to take on that challenge.

“Red Bay Coffee is at the forefront of what we believe is the fourth wave of coffee—a firm commitment to ensure coffee production is not only high quality and sustainable but a vehicle for diversity, inclusion, social and economic restoration, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability,” according to the company’s website. “We are foodies, artists, activists, community folk, and innovators who love, love, love what we do. Red Bay seeks to create unity by hiring and serving people of all backgrounds, striving to be diverse and inclusive of those who have traditionally been left out of the specialty coffee industry, especially people of color, the formerly incarcerated, women, and people with disabilities.”
