Husband and wife team Dave and Alexis Martin Woodall will debut the restaurant in the Whole Foods Market-anchored Eighth & Grand development, at 770 S Grand Ave, any day now.

“[The] opening is tracking for early next week,” a company spokesperson in an email Wednesday told What Now Los Angeles.

An exact opening date and additional press materials are forthcoming, they said.

Red Herring’s new 3,300-square-foot space sits adjacent to Wells Fargo and is the anchor restaurant for Eighth & Grand.

There will be a sidewalk patio and a full bar, and the restaurant will be open all day including late-night.

“We are going dark for a few months in order to get prepped for the opening of our second fabulous location in the heart of Downtown L.A.,” ownership said via a prepared statement at the time of Red Herring’s shutter in Eagle Rock earlier this year.

“We love love love you all and have had a genuinely life-changing experience here in Eagle Rock; trust that you’ll be seeing us again very soon.”

Red Herring won’t be reopening in Eagle Rock, however.

“We’re just going to be focusing on DTLA,” the company posted to its Instagram page recently responding to a follower asking, “are you keeping both locations?”

This story is developing.
