Developer Uri Harkham yesterday applied for a Conditional Use Permit to allow the hotel—a seven-story Holiday Inn—to be built within 500 feet of a residentially-zoned area, at 1434 – 1450 S. Robertson Blvd.

When plans were first submitted three years ago, the hotel flag had not yet been revealed.

If the zoning change is approved, several low-rise commercial buildings across six contiguous parcels with ground-level retail below residential, would be razed to make way for the 112-key Holiday Inn.

Across its seven floors, the proposed Holiday Inn would encompass 61,540 square feet and offer 73 total parking spaces, split between a subterranean parking garage and at grade level.

The project would offer a second-level pool and outdoor deck, a vestibule, front desk area, and lobby retreat area.
