In addition to opening three new Los Angeles-area stores in 2020—415 South La Brea Ave, 5500 W. Sunset Blvd, and 420 Broadway in Santa Monica—Target is now in the planning phase for two additional storefronts in 2021.

The Hollywood Galaxy shopping center, at 7201 Hollywood Boulevard, next year will welcome a two-story Target (shown above) in space previously occupied by DSW.

In Santa Monica, an open-and-operating Staples, at 1610 Wilshire Blvd., will close February 7, so that Target next year can open there as well.

The Hollywood Galaxy outpost will be approximately 39,600 square feet and will join existing co-anchor tenants L.A. Fitness and Marshalls.

In Santa Monica, the planned Target will offer a much smaller footprint, shown in the rendering below, at 18,500 square feet.

Both forthcoming stores have since been listed to Target’s “upcoming stores” landing page, but the nationwide retailer has not yet announced exact opening timelines.
