The new restaurant will move into the Edwards & Faw building at an unknown time, according to a recent liquor license application. This is the latest from Joe Capella and Matt Molina, two business partners who have opened several Los Angeles staples, including Everson Royce Bar, Triple Beam Pizza, and HiPPO. The duo is getting ready to launch a yet-to-be-named concept sometime next year, although an exact opening date has yet to be announced.
Capella couldn’t provide What Now Media Group with any additional details regarding this concept, stating that it is very early in the project. Despite the lack of details, this will be an excellent location for this new yet-to-be-named restaurant. On top of sitting in a bustling area full of other retailers and eateries, a handful of galleries, schools, and law offices are nearby, making this an excellent place to grab a bite to eat.
This is a massive accomplishment for the two restauranteurs. In addition to owning several well-respected Los Angeles restaurants, Molina co-authored The Mozza Cookbook with Silverton and won the 2012 James Beard Award for Best Chef: Pacific for his work at Osteria Mozza. On the other hand, Capella is a longtime community member who opened Everson Royce in April 2012 and has continued to open new eating destinations ever since.
