A representative from the company tells What Now Los Angeles the restaurant will relocate in late 2022 from its current location at 6100 CA-27 to 5919 Canoga Ave., replacing TGI Fridays. This location, the third in Los Angeles County, will be corporate-owned. Fans of this upscale steakhouse can also find locations in Marina del Rey and Pasadena. The chain restaurant has over 100 steakhouses across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with more locations on the way.

The story of Ruth’s Chris Steak House is quite remarkable. Founded by Ruth Fertel in 1965, the single mom of two boys mortgaged her home and bought a small steak house in New Orleans. In 1976 Ruth was forced to relocate due to a fire and could not transfer the name. As a result, she added her own name, officially calling it Ruth’s Chris Steak House. A year later, the company’s first franchise opened. Although Ruth passed away in 2002, her legacy continues through the restaurant.

Whether you go to the location in Woodland Hills, Pasadena, or Marina del Rey, you will need a reservation. The company uses a perfected broiling method and seasoning techniques to ensure each cut of USDA prime beef is cooked to perfection and sizzling on a 500° plate. The restaurant also offers other delectable entrees, such as a lobster tail, garlic-crusted sea bass, and stuffed chicken breast. Each location features an award-winning wine list and hand-crafted, vintage-inspired cocktails.
