The company’s newest location, only a couple of miles away from the original site at 1900 W. Valley Blvd., will move into the former home of Earth Kitchen at an unknown time. The company recently applied for a liquor license, suggesting the new location will sell alcohol once it opens. Co-owners Fan and Kelly Xiao first opened in Alhambra in 2014, followed by locations in Tustin and West Los Angeles. Now, the company is getting ready for a major upgrade by moving to a new location in its original neighborhood, complete with a new logo.

When the new location finally opens, guests can expect all of the Sichuan classics often found in the southwestern Chinese province. The restaurant will have everything from chef’s specials to stir-fry and a soup series. Some popular dishes include smoked pig ear, grandma’s pickled cucumber, couple’s sliced beef in chili sauce, free range chili chicken, and sliced kidney with peppercorn sauce. There is no official word as to if the company will keep its original location in Alhambra open when this new location arrives.

“The founders of Sichuan Impression were born and raised in a family of culinary art,” according to the company’s website. “After they traveled across the ocean to the States, they wished to present the most traditional, most authentic possible Sichuan cuisine to the American eaters with an elevation in the quality of raw material and a contemporary style. An integrated selection of local snacks, the classics, regional specialties, and new school specialties is ready to feast you on a sensational culinary journey of “Sichuan Impression.”
