The new Silverlake Ramen is set to open in mid-Summer 2022, according to Operations Director Dohyun Han. The new 2,772 square-foot location will take over PizzaWay, which replaced PizzaRev in 2020. This is the latest announcement from the company, which is expected to open several new locations in the new year, including in Manhattan Beach, Chino Hills, Burbank, Monterey Park, and Downey.

Founded by Japan-raised chef Tomas Aono and Jitaek Lim in 2012, Silverlake Ramen first opened at Sunset Junction in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake district. The company currently has 18 locations throughout the country, including Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Washington. By the end of next year, Silverlake Ramen expects to have at least 32 locations throughout the US, including one in South Pasadena.

The fast-growing chain restaurant has become a popular destination for many Angelos, and for a good reason. The food has been ranked as one of the best ramen spots in Los Angeles by several publications such as Zagat, Califoreigners, LA Weekly, and Timeout. Some popular dishes at the restaurant include pork buns, soboro bowls, and Shoyu ramen with shoyu, green onion, seaweed, jalapeno, micro cilantro, lime, and egg.
