Co-founder Hala Shamas tells What Now Los Angeles this will be the first official boutique liquor store branded under Sipsy’s aesthetic. She says the new store will open in a little over a month, sometime in May 2022. The company already owns two existing local liquor stores – North Hollywood’s NoHo Wines and Spirits and Sherman Oaks’ Liquor Palace 2 – and plans to rebrand them in the coming months. On top of that, Sipsy is actively searching for new locations to expand throughout Los Angeles.

Despite Shamas being in the liquor business for decades, Sipsy has been serving Los Angeles Valley since 2019, bringing convenience to the residents of Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Burbank, and Toluca Lake. Customers could order just about any type of liquor through their simple ordering system and have it delivered in 30 to 60 minutes. On top of offering various liquor, beer, wine, and hard seltzer, Sipsy also has snacks available for delivery.

There are several reasons why Sipsy differentiates itself from other alcohol delivery companies, such as Drizzly. For one, they never mark up their products. Customers can expect to pay the same price for products in-store as they would for delivery. Speaking of delivery, Sipsy offers free local delivery to residents of Los Angeles. Finally, they offer curb-side pickup. This, along with their massive selection, are a few reasons why so many customers prefer Sipsy over their competitors.

When the new Sipsy stores open, guests can expect an upscale boutique-style aesthetic similar to the company’s website. Shamas is actively searching to open more locations throughout Los Angeles. Eventually, she hopes to find available spaces in Hollywood, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Sherman Oaks, Tarzana, and Encino. All locations, including the upcoming stores, will be about 2,000 to 2,400 square feet and will be in a pedestrian-friendly, busy neighborhood with onsite parking.
