The dynamic pizza franchise led by renowned pizzaiolo Tony Gemignani announced the opening at the famed entertainment, dining, and shopping complex, set to open in Summer 2025, according to a press release. The pizzeria will welcome guests to experience award-winning pizza by the 13-time World Pizza Champion in a fast-casual setting. The new restaurant is hiring across all positions and is expected to bring more than 40 new full- and part-time jobs to the Universal CityWalk venue.
“Universal CityWalk is a monumental location for Slice House. To have a restaurant that serves my craft pizza in the heart of one of Southern California’s most popular and exciting entertainment landmarks is a dream come true,” Gemignani said in a press release. “I am so grateful to our dedicated brand partner, Vinny Margott, for his ongoing commitment to Slice House and I look forward to soon sharing my artisanal pizzas, fresh pastas and more with guests visiting the destination. We are thrilled to be part of this community and look forward to welcoming everyone next summer.”
Slice House Universal CityWalk, franchised and operated by Vinny Margott, will feature an expansive menu of Gemignani’s famous New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pizzas – available by the slice or whole pizza. Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options and fresh pasta, wings, salads, and regular specials will be available. The beverage menu will consist of craft beers, premium wines, and a selection of soft drinks and juices. The pizza hot spot will include indoor seating, takeout, online ordering, and delivery.
“We couldn’t be more excited to debut Slice House by Tony Gemignani at Universal CityWalk, a world-renowned destination that is home to acres of fun with many notable stores, restaurants, and entertainment establishments,” Margott said in a press release. “Having witnessed the positive response to our other Southern California outposts, we look forward to sharing Tony’s world-renowned pizzas with visitors to the destination at this all-new Slice House venue.”
The new Slice House restaurant looks forward to catering to the high-density neighborhood of residents, families, schools, and professionals. It serves as a spirited dining option for tourists and locals alike. Slice House Universal CityWalk will host various exciting grand opening events. These will include Tony’s feature appearance and many more surprises, which will be shared over the coming months.
