LA-based pizza concept Social Pies is bringing The Social — an upscale spin-off of its OG iteration — to both Hollywood and a spot near Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium.
While specific addresses for the two incoming LA outposts aren’t yet known, it’s been posited that one will open in the next 30-60 days, while the second locale will start slinging slices toward the end of the year.
Social Pies’ owners, Benjamin Knight and Tyler Salmon, are also opening The Social in Newport’s Balboa Peninsula in late summer or early fall, according to direct intel obtained by What Now OC.
The three new outposts will join Social Pies’ existing Tarzana and Canoga Park locations as well as its catering operation, for a total of six “branches.”
The Social will differ from Social Pies in that, in addition to housing Detroit, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles-style pizzas under one roof, the spin-off will offer diners “burgers, wings, and other options outside the pizza and pasta fare it’s known for.” The Social will also have a full bar including liquor, beer, and wine.
“I think a lot of people are excited about it…we’re just going to offer a little higher quality…as far as the genre of food, music, and just the whole vibe itself,” says Salmon via WNOC.
