The company’s second location will move into the former home of Aji Mori House, according to recently submitted documents sent to the Los Angeles City Planning Department. Odonchimeg (Ogi) Jiimen owns both establishments and appears to be riding on the success of Sushi Koo’s flagship location in Beverly Grove at 8474 W 3rd. Customers can expect fresh, handcrafted sauces, delicious food, and superior service. Sushi Koo also offers catering, which the City of Los Angeles, the NFL, TMZ, and Netflix have used.
This development has no timeline, considering the city of Los Angeles is still reviewing documents. When it opens, the restaurant will offer various sushi options, as well as delicious appetizers, desserts, soups, bowls, burritos, and more. The proposed location will potentially have 950 square feet of indoor space, a 997-square-foot separate event room, and a 276-square-foot outdoor patio, with 20 seats in the restaurant and event room and 24 on the patio. The proposed hours are 11:30 am to 10 pm. While Sushi Koo has created a dedicated fan base through its food and catering services, the restaurant solidified its presence in Los Angeles throughout the pandemic by giving back to the community.
“Sushi Koo has proudly worn the badge as a family-owned and operated business with a passion for serving others,” according to the company’s website. “We are proud to be run by a team of minority women with a passion for traditional flavors, modern culinary adventures, and bringing people together through delicious food. Beyond our commitment to delivering an incredible meal, decadent sauces, and affordable prices for our clients, Sushi Koo is also a proud member of our community and is passionate about giving back to those in need. Through our work within our community, we have provided hundreds of meals to some of our most vulnerable citizens, including seniors and healthcare workers. We have donated masks, meals, discounts, and more to help make our community stronger, healthier, and happier.”
