The company’s sixth location is set to move into the former home of Côte Beauty, according to a recent liquor license application. It’s unclear exactly when this location is expected to open. Regardless, this is a massive accomplishment for owner Joshua Pourgol, who has opened the restaurant in Westwood, Larchmont, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Los Feliz. Soon, Brentwood will have the delicious Mexican food that has made this micro chain so popular in LA.

When the new Tu Madre opens, customers can expect a variety of tacos and burritos and a cocktail lineup featuring handcrafted margaritas. Other popular menu items include street tacos, burrito bowls, and a breakfast menu featuring a taco and a burrito. The restaurant also offers plant-based tacos and burritos for vegetarians. In addition to the delicious food and drinks, Tu Madre provides catering for any occasion. For the restaurant, walk-ins are welcome for groups of ten or smaller. Otherwise, a reservation is encouraged.

“It all started when young Madré, after a bold attempt at making a traditional taco using her mother’s recipe, accidentally used fried chicken instead of the usual fillings,” according to the company’s website. “The result? A crazy delicious concoction that made everyone exclaim, “Holy Guacamole!” From that serendipitous mistake, Madré embarked on a mission to reinvent the taco. She dared to pair ahi tuna with tortillas, added a twist of lime, and voila! A new star was born in the taco universe. Through trial and triumph, Madré’s unconventional approach led her to create the best non-traditional tacos around, and in doing so, she revolutionized LA’s food scene.”
