Set to open Sunday, March 14, the Hollywood Galaxy store is the retailer’s “small-format” layout spanning 40,000 square feet.
The retailer is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. carrying apparel and accessories, home décor and essentials, an assortment of health, personal care and beauty products, a grocery selection, including fresh produce, grab-and-go items, snacks and meal solutions, adult beverages, and a Starbucks.
Also opening to the public Sunday is an even smaller Target in Santa Monica, at 420 Broadway, clocking in at a mere 24,000 square feet with a team of 55.
Also open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, this Target is anchored by a CVS Pharmacy and carries apparel and accessories for adults, home décor and essentials, an assortment of health, personal care and beauty products, and a grocery selection, including fresh produce, grab-and-go items, snacks and meal solutions.
With the addition of the new locations, Target now has 116 stores in the greater Los Angeles area, which altogether employ more than 21,400 team members, according to a press release Wednesday.
“Nationwide, Target is reaching new guests by opening small-format stores in urban areas, dense suburban neighborhoods and near college campuses — places where a full-size Target store may not fit,” a spokesperson said of the new locations by way of a fact sheet. “Our team works diligently to understand the neighborhood and local guests our new stores serve and build assortments that will best fit those guests’ needs and preferences, while still delivering an experience that’s fully Target.”
