The new restaurant will replace the closed Maria’s Italian Kitchen at an unspecified date. Chef and owner Mark Okuda plans on keeping much of the current menu at the new location, according to Eater LA. The original The Brothers Sushi, located at 21418 Ventura Blvd, has been well recognized since opening just a few years ago. Last year, the restaurant was rated as one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Times and LA Magazine.

“With over 20 years of experience, Chef Mark Okuda and his team offer exquisite food, friendly service, and an inviting environment for you and your loved ones to enjoy,” according to their website. “We offer both seasonal Omakase Chefs courses or Ala Carte options. Should you be interested in sake, a Sake Advisor is on site.”

On top of the extensive food menu at The Brothers Sushi, they also serve many different desserts and drinks. One of their highly touted drink options is the Brothers Sushi house sake called Ken Daiginjo. The pandemic forced the Woodland Hills location to stop indoor and on-site dining for more than 15 months. They not only managed to survive the pandemic but increased its popularity enough for a new location.
