The first location will be coming to the Lake View Terrace Shopping Center in Pacoima, located at 11980 Foothill Blvd. This location will be replacing the now-closed Western Union. There are several recently closed restaurants in the area, including a Fatburger & Buffalo Express, Rhino Burger, and Louisiana Fried Chicken, making this a perfect spot for a new Habit Burger. The next location is coming to the Circle Marina Center in Long Beach, located at 4542 Pacific Coast Hwy. This location will move into the former home of a Burger King.
It is unknown when these locations will be opening or who will be the franchise owners. Los Angeles already has 43 locations throughout the county and over 200 locations in California. When these new locations open, guests can expect 100% fresh ground beef burgers chargrilled over an open flame. At the beginning of the month, the company opened a new location in Seal Beach.
“At The Habit Burger Grill, we bring the spirit of Santa Barbara wherever we go, including Orange County,” said Iwona Alter, Chief Brand Officer at The Habit Burger Grill. “We look forward to serving even more guests in the community with our new restaurant in Seal Beach.”
The fast-casual burger chain started in Santa Barbara in 1969 as a family-owned business before brothers Brent and Bruce Reichard purchased the original location in 1980. In March 2020, Yum! Brands, the parent company of Taco Bell and KFC, acquired Habit Burger after the Reichard brothers decided to retire. The operations shifted just last month. Now, there are 325 Habit Burger Grills in 14 states, plus 13 international locations.
