This will be the third location for the company, with restaurants currently in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. The Hook & Plow was established in February of 2014 by husband and wife, Bre and Brian Kelleher and twin sisters, Lisa Cassity and Lauren Copelan. Brian tells What Now Los Angeles he hopes to open the new Manhattan Beach location sometime in Fall 2022, likely in September. The new location will have Executive Chef Matthew Ignacio running the kitchen as he has for all locations.

The Hook & Plow takes pride in sourcing all of their seafood, meats, produce, and other ingredients as locally and organically as possible, without compromising on taste. The company also offers craft beers and wines from California, with some coming from breweries within 10 miles of the restaurant. The Redondo Beach location features a full bar with a great craft cocktail program in place.

To keep things exciting, the restaurant’s menus change with the seasons, along with nightly specials that change daily. Although the food speaks for itself, with dishes such as furikake fries, scallop risotto, and tempura fish tacos, top-tier service is crucial.

“Service is a big priority at the Hook and Plow,” according to the company’s website. “We are trying to build an experience for our guests through our food, our environment, and our service. Come enjoy our open-air restaurants with patio seating or indoor seating. Our Redondo Beach location also features a fire pit and air-conditioning.”
