The Penmar last week quietly opened its Venice doors after operating as a pop-up for nearly a year. The all-day eatery sits at the edge of the Penmar Golf Course in space most recently home to a coffee shop by the same name, at 1233 Rose Avenue. The Penmar serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks, daily from 8 a.m. “’til late,” a rep for the restaurant Monday told What Now Los Angeles.
Although fully-open, The Penmar is still looking to hire a few positions for the patio restaurant. “Our brand new restaurant is located at Penmar Golf Course in Venice Beach, and we’re creating an exciting neighborhood clubhouse with great food and drinks, where golf is optional,” according to an advert seeking floor supervisors. “We have plenty of patio seating with beautiful views of the golf course, and a dining room when indoor dining resumes.”
Plans to open The Penmar were first announced on the company’s Instagram in April. “Penmar Golf Course first opened to Venice in 1962…when the world reopens, [The Penmar] will be there as a fresh, local restaurant with an amazing patio and breakfast, lunch and dinner food and drink menu to serve golfers and neighbors alike.”
