Owner Leanne Le said she hopes to open the new location this spring.

“We’re just waiting for the inspection and hope to open by the first of May,” she said.

With the new Poke Co. going into Cerritos Plaza South into space previously occupied by Pita Pit, Le said it will be within 15 minutes of several other Poke Co. restaurants in the area.

“I think it’s a great area right off the freeway and really close to our other locations,” she said. “We’re branching out… but not too far.”

Going into the Cerritos Plaza South, a multi-tenant shopping center anchored by Orchard Supply Hardware, Ralphs, CVS, and AMF Bowling, Poke Co. will be located in a dense area just south of the 91 Freeway on South Street.

Poke Co. also has plans to open a new location in Mira Mesa, San Diego this month as well.

The family-owned business serves a variety of build-your-own poke bowls and wings for customers to enjoy.

“Generally if you go out for sushi, if it’s decent it will be like $100 for two people,” she said. “We sell sushi in a bowl but at a discount. You and a friend can come into the store on half the price of sushi.”

Everything at The Poke Co. is prepared with high-quality, rich taste, and made fresh to order.

“We pride ourselves on our fresh food,” she added.
