The company, led by Farid Harrison and Matt Morea, recently applied to the City of Los Angeles Planning Department to combine four existing vacant spaces into one larger retail store. If approved, the new dispensary will move into the former homes of a hairdresser, a spa, a dry cleaner, and a custom tailoring business. This will be the third location for the company, following its flagship store in Martinez, and another new site is coming soon to Eagle Rock at an unknown date.

When these locations open, customers can expect world-class cannabis that is safe and lab-tested. The dispensary will offer everything from cannabis flower, pre-rolls, and edibles to concentrates, tinctures, topicals, and vape cartridges. The new locations will also offer rotating and weekly specials for customers. For those interested in becoming more involved in the company, there’s Velvet’s Customer Loyalty program, which earns customers points for every purchase, which can be redeemed for epic tier-based rewards.

“Founded by two friends and California natives in 2018, Velvet offers an exceptional, full-service shopping experience in each of our premium retail locations,” according to their website. “Expect clean, airy and inviting spaces with a relaxed vibe and attentive staff, who can guide you through our menu to uncover the experience you’re looking for. Whether you’re a longtime enthusiast, patient or just canna- curious, we have something for everyone, and we’ll make you feel right at home.”
