The applicant behind the proposed project, which would replace two one-story buildings and four two-story buildings, is listed as Sinanian Development. The site currently holds 12 dwelling units and commercial tenants, including cafe Le Petit Jardin.

Planning staff recommends approvals for a six-story, 74-foot-tall version of the development, according to the planning case packet for the project.

Designs call for a ground floor that includes a lobby and a breakfast, coffee, and bar area for hotel guests, as well as a 950-square-foot coffee shop open to the public, plans show. Pedestrian access to the hotel would be given through a main entrance along Robertson Boulevard.

Vehicular access would also be available from Robertson Boulevard, as well as via the public alley to the east of the project site.

Also involved in the development are project architect Alajajian-Marcoosi Architects and project representative Eric Lieberman of land-use consulting company QES. Courtland Studio is the landscape architect.

The owner behind the development is Dan Harkman, who had originally filed plans for a six-story, 122-key hotel at the site, Urbanize has reported.
